Privacy Policy
Effective 4 September 2026 · Last updated 4 September 2026
1. Scope
This Policy explains how Localstop at 123 Sutherland St, Mascot NSW 2020 handles information through localstop.com.au, help.localstop.com.au, the in-store reservation service, AI assistant, staff portal and supported social-platform integrations.
2. Information we collect
- Reservations: name, phone or email, selected items and quantities, pickup preference, consent, status and staff notes.
- Website and assistant: security request information, anonymous session tokens, questions, language, relevant reviewed knowledge, response engine and whether human help was needed. The service is not designed to retain a full chat transcript.
- Staff operations: accounts, roles, audit records, products, price observations and approvals, media rights, review decisions and publication records.
- Platform integrations: where enabled, account identifiers, authorised scopes, encrypted tokens, per-post settings, status and webhook records.
3. How and why we use information
We use information to process and follow up reservation requests, provide the selected catalogue and reviewed-knowledge assistant, authenticate staff, keep audit and rights records, operate authorised integrations, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. Reservation contact consent is limited to that reservation and is not marketing consent.
4. AI and external services
When DeepSeek is enabled, a question and limited reviewed context may be sent to its API. The API key remains on our server. Maps, hosting, security, retailer source pages and social platforms may process limited information under their own policies, including outside Australia. We do not sell personal information.
5. Storage, security and retention
We use HTTPS, role-based access, password hashing, audit records, encrypted platform tokens and backups. Reservation access tokens are stored as one-way hashes and carried in the private link fragment so they are not sent in ordinary page requests. The private status URL acts as a credential, so keep it confidential. Anonymous chat tokens expire after 24 hours. Operational records are retained only as reasonably needed for fulfilment, security, disputes, audit and legal obligations.
6. Access, correction, deletion and complaints
You may request access, correction or deletion where applicable. We may need enough information to verify the request and may retain records where law, security or legitimate recordkeeping requires it. Contact Localstop in person at 123 Sutherland St, Mascot NSW 2020 and mark the request “Privacy”. Do not provide identity documents in the initial request.
7. Children and lottery-related areas
The general convenience-store website is not designed to collect information from children. Lottery-related information and products are for people aged 18 and over. Contact us if you believe a minor has submitted personal information.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy when the service, providers or legal obligations change. The current version and effective date will remain on this page.
